It's a Girl
As I was watching this insightful documentary, I was encouraged to go and do something that not many women are able to do. Some of the women in this documentary were able to speak so strongly, it really encouraged me and inspired me to be more of who I am. This movie was able to address many issues that modern day girls go through daily. Many of the issues that were adressed weren't something that I realized before. It was a real eye opener because after watching this, you see and relate more with what was seen. Women need to unite so that the growing generations of girls are not heavily affected and can assimilate in the male society. A modern day woman should be confident but humble and be able to accept how she looks without having to change herself.

Through the good times and the bad
This class has been a blast! It's one of my favourite classes to be in. I look forward to this class everyday, especially when I'm not having such a great day. I am proud of the fact that I have improved so much. I feel as though I always want to go for a run as a pass time. I believe as I developed my fitness and cardio abilities, I have more fun doing it because I see the results and it feels good not having to stop inbetween all the time. I have gained a lot of strength because of the weight room training that we did, and Iam really proud of it.
During this great semester, I was able to learn a lot. Having great physical health can not only help your health for the future but it also helps mental fitness. I couldn't believe how much mental strength it could take to not give up sometimes. I learnt that eating healthier can also help with physical and mental strength because it gives you the nutrients your body needs after a good work out, such as protien. I find it fun to be active in this class because I'm surrounded by great friends that never let you give up.
Some of my goals for the end of the semester are that I want to achieve at least an eight on the beep test. I have never reached such a high level in all my years of PE at Sullivan Heights.I hope to reach this goal fast because I have a surgery on November 30th and I don't think I'm going to gain much physical activity after it. Even though I have a short period of time, I won't give up in achieving this goal and I will do anything to accomplishing this.

Taekwondo
Yesterday we had the opportunity to go take a self defense class at Woo Kim Taekwondo. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend it becuase of my infection in my tailbone. I still went to the class but I was unable to join in. I was still able to learn a lot just by being there. I was extremely sad that I had to miss it, it was one of my most awaited feildtrips.

My Journey so Far
Get fit so far has been the best class ever. i enjoy all the activities that we do. the feildtrips are amazing and i cant wait for the ones to come. the best feiltrip we did so far is splitz gymnastics. this class is at the end of the day so after a whole day of stress and working hard i get to come to get fit and take it all out. im so glad i took this class because all of the girls are so warm and accepting. if your struggling with something they dont point and laugh, they simply help a brother out ;). i think the main reason i love this class is because mrs. phillips is such a great inspriation. even though she teaches all day, she still has that inspiring vibe to her. everytime you talk to her, shes always positive and i think shes one of my top role models especially becuase shes so fit.
im really happy with my results because i can actually see my hard work being paid off. Every fitness activity that we do i try my hardest untill im literally about to vomit. but i like that feeling because it gives me a sence of accomplishment, even though its gross. i find that i am able to run for a longer period of time and its only been a month since ive been in this class. i wonder how i will be by the end of the semester. i hope to accomplish a whole bunch more and i really charish everything i learn from mrs. phillips. im really happy i took this class :)

Gymnastics :)
Last week our class went to Splitz Gymnastics. It was sooo much fun, best gymnastics experience ever. while we were there, we were so happy to be there. we were jumping on trampolines and swinging off ropes, i was dared to even jumping through a moving hoola hoop and i made it ! :D haha i hadn't done cart wheels since i was a kid and i was surprised i that i still remembered how to do them. the girls and i were doing them all together, trying to get them synchronised. it was great. our transportation was the transit bus. it was the first time my friend had ridden on a bus and i don't know if she was scared or excited. i was surprised that i was sore the next day! i didn't even know you could get sore from gymnastics! even though i could barely move, i really wish our class could go again. :)
Fitness Test
We had our fitness test a couple weeks ago but I just finally got the time to post about it. I tried my best and recieved a solid 6.1 on the beep test. It was a great expperience especially because i havn't done it in two years. i took PE 10 in summer school at earl marriet secondary, so i was still getting used to fitness test. I was able to do about 25 pushups (man ones) and i was done by the end of it. for the body bridge i made it up to two minutes and five seconds. over im proud of what i recieved on the fitness test. :)

Through get fit
As this class has started, my attitude has become completely positive towards becoming a fit person. I enjoy this class very much, it has easily become one of my favourite classes this semester. So far we have done a countless activities that involve physical strength and endurance such as boot camp, yoga, pond run, community run and the most recent of all, the grouse grind. When I first heard that the senior PE classes were going to do the grouse grind, I was extremely excited, especially because I had wanted to do it all summer but just didn't get a chance to. Once we had got there I started getting nervous and I literally was about to kill myself half way through the grind. The feeling that I got when I finished was the best. I felt so accomplished. my time was 1:24, I thought it was pretty good for a first time but I wish to improve the next time I do it. My goal this semester is to improve my cardio and to become more open to working out. I hope I achieve this goal by the end of the semester.
